- The roadmap is slipping and the req has been open for months.
- You’ve tried offshore: midnight calls, missed context, rework.
- You’ve lost weeks interviewing people who never should have made the list.
Adding a developer to your team shouldn’t take six months.
Three steps to a developer in your standup
Timeline: a 15‑minute call before you sign, then a shortlist of 3 to 5 within 48 hours of signing, then a full-stack developer working your hours within 72 hours.
-
15 min
Book a 15‑minute call and sign a no‑commitment agreement.
15 minutes with Rick, our CTO and co‑founder, then a simple agreement that sets the terms for when a developer starts and doesn’t commit you to buying anything.

Your shortlist: 3 to 5 developers
You keep the decision. We bring you people to meet.
We know adding someone to an existing team takes more than a skills list. We’ve been embedding Latin American developers in US teams for over 10 years. You interview candidates directly and choose who joins, and if someone isn’t the right fit, we replace them.
Every candidate’s final interview is with Jhovanny, our CEO and co‑founder.
Frequently asked questions
- What is staff augmentation?
- Our developers join your team as hourly contractors. We find and vet them, and we replace anyone who isn’t the right fit. If you’d rather hand us a whole project, that’s our Build Software service. See Build Software
- How fast can someone start?
- You get 3 to 5 profiles within 48 hours of signing our no‑commitment agreement. A full-stack developer can be working for you within 72 hours; we confirm timing for other roles on the call.
- Do I have to commit to anything?
- No. Our framework agreement doesn’t commit you to buying anything. It only sets the terms for when a developer starts working with you.
- How does billing work?
- By the hour. Your developer works as a contractor on your team, and there’s no long-term contract.
- Who employs the developer?
- We do. Mahisoft handles all developer employment, so you work with one company, billed by the hour. Every developer is nearshore, in South or Central America.
- Who manages the developer?
- You do. Your developer takes direction from you or your team lead and works in your tools and your standups, the same as the rest of your team.
- Will you swap in a junior developer later?
- No. The developer you interview is the one who does the work. If they’re not the right fit, we replace them with someone you interview first.
- Who owns the code?
- You do. With our contract developers, 100% of the IP belongs to you.
- Do your developers use AI tools?
- Only as your policy allows. Our developers follow your AI usage policy, whether your team is AI-augmented or doesn’t allow AI at all.
- What about time zones?
- Our developers are in South and Central America, so they work your full US workday, not a 2‑hour overlap.
- Will communication be a problem?
- Every developer is English-proficient and works in your tools: your Slack, your Jira, your standups.
- How are developers vetted?
- Every candidate passes a technical challenge, a technical panel, and a final interview with Jhovanny, our CEO, all in English, and we confirm they can start on your timeline before you meet them. Only the top 3% of applicants make it.
- What does it cost?
- Typically 30 to 40% less than a comparable US hire.
Stop letting an open req set your roadmap
Every month short-handed is a missed release and a more burned-out team. With the right developer, the roadmap moves again and the new person feels like part of the team, not a vendor.
