A dream became a reality ten years ago: Mahisoft opened its first office, hoping to provide clients with smart software solutions, always thinking ahead of what could be next in a rapidly evolving technology work. Unfortunately, it has not been easy at times. Still, thanks to the trust of both our clients and our talent, we have pushed ahead and become a go-to company in software development projects, an innovator in nearshore staff augmentation, and now a Great Place to Work©.
We set our sights on bringing together the best possible talent to provide our customers with the most efficient solutions for their requirements. Starting with a team of Venezuelan engineers, we expanded our field to Latin America and, most recently, Brazil. With each market, we have learned the different skill sets that every culture offers. That integration has made us only stronger, as we can adapt better to what our clients need for their specific markets.
And philosophically, we have evolved too: in 2018, we adopted Radical Truth/Radical Transparency as our new parameters to improve how we communicate, operate, and evaluate our efforts. That approach is still in place, and the results are staggering. We have also developed our very own concept of life-work balance at the company, in what is now our mantra to describe one of the main advantages of joining our team: Responsible Freedom.
Responsible Freedom is the culmination of years of observation and adjustment to provide our team with the best possible working conditions to maximize our talents. Based on trust and respect, we have achieved a balance -not always an easy one- that allows us as a company to provide excellence in our products and staff members with quality of life in an environment that involves mainly remote work. Remote work was not the norm a decade ago, and now all that experience serves us and makes us mavens in a world that now, more than ever, thinks about the home office and the remote working environment.
What started as an email exchange between two colleagues and friends back in 2012 has evolved into a household name with colleagues in 14 countries. Along the way, dozens of projects and a lot of learning and catching up (both professionally and personally) have made us who we are now.
We are 10 now. We had our downs, but the ups were way more. We can’t wait to explore the next decade of Mahisoft.
